AS part of its pursuit of student-centered journalism, THE BEDAN HERALD launched its first journalist forum last May 25 entitled [M]ulat: Mag-ulat at Magmulat in line with the celebration of World Press Freedom Day. The forum is a first for the publication, as it marks the beginning of its 30th year next month.

Abstentions and Quotas: Students’ Voices Urge for Special Elections
LAST May 9, elections for the Student Executive Council (SEC) for the academic year 2024-2025 culminated through the official announcement of results on a Facebook livestream by Tatak Bedista TV. The Bedan Electoral Committee (BELCOM) held the elections via Google forms at the BalCruz hall from April 29 to 30 and resumed at the student lounge from May 2 to 4. The total Bedan voting population from the previous elections increased from 513 to 608 with 156 from first-year students, 199 from the second-years, 173 from the third-years, and 80 from the fourth-years.

LAST April 16, the Foreign Service Institute of the Philippines (FSI) released news about meeting Ms. Ma. Keren Happuch D. Arroyo, Chairperson of the International Studies Department, and Mr. Emmanuel Gerard O.
