CONTINUING the annual World Teachers Day Celebration, the faculty and teaching staff of the SBCA Tertiary Schools leap into the future as they celebrate World Teachers Day with the theme, FuturisTEACH: Shaping Better Futures this Oct. 18 at the Manny Reyes Hall.
The event was organized by the Student Executive Council (SEC), sponsored by the SBCA Parent and Faculty Council (PFC), and in partnership with Bedan Educators’ Society, Eureka, Bedan Liturgical Ministries, and Himig Bedista.
Due to the Midterm Examination and grade consultation weeks prior, the understandably belated celebration of the event rewards the faculty and staff for upholding the values and dedication they provide to the Tertiary School students, honing them to be holistic individuals who excel in their respective endeavors.
Rector-President Fr. Gerardo Ma De Villa, OSB, expressed his gratitude to the individuals present in his opening remarks. “I’d like to greet in a very special way all our professors who are the heroes of San Beda. Thank you so much for all the hard work that you do in molding our students to become true Bedan ladies and gentlemen.” Fr. Gerardo also shared his appreciation to the PFC for donating two TV sets to be used by the Tertiary Schools in the St. Bede Building.
After the inspiring opening, the SBCA Tertiary Schools faculty and staff were surprised with warm video greetings from Co-curricular and Extracurricular organizations, an array of games, raffle prizes, and student-voted awards for the professors of each degree program. The awards include the Cryptographer of Curiosity Award, Metaverse Mentor Award, Antimatter of Apathy Award, Code Mode Award, and Reality Shaper Award.
As part of the celebration, Dom. Ephraem Ma. Molina, OSB, presided over a Thanksgiving mass at the St. Benedict Chapel prior to the event.
