SAN Beda College Alabang (SBCA) revved up the excitement at the SBCA AutoFest hosted by Bedan Entrepreneurs Society (BES). Held last Apr. 24 as part of the celebration of the School of Business, Accountancy, and Management (SBAM) week, the thrilling event not only showcased an impressive lineup of vehicles but also fostered connections among passionate automotive drivers in the Bedan community.
The biggest highlight of the SBCA AutoFest was the Car Showcase, where students and car enthusiasts alike brought their prized vehicles to display for all to see. From classic models to modern ones, the array of cars promised something for every car lover. Attendees met fellow enthusiasts, shared stories, and exchanged tips about their favorite rides.
In addition to the Car Showcase, the event provided a unique chance for participants to network and connect with peers who share a passion for automotive culture that can spark collaborations, friendships, and even future projects in the industry. It was a perfect blend of socializing and professional development.
The AutoFest also offered a special competition called the “Monza Barcade F1 Time Trial Challenge.” For a fee of Php 320.00 to play, contestants tested their skills against the clock. The player with the fastest time walked away with a cash prize and a special mystery prize.
In an interview with THE BEDAN HERALD, Prof. Maria Dimaranan, a professor from SBAM, showed off her stock Honda 1995 ESI, recalling using this vehicle to drive herself to the hospital while in labor.
Gio Mangudadatu (III-BSBA-MM) brought out his most prized Mclaren S20S 2018, which featured only a titanium exhaust modification. Despite the car breaking down often, he embraced its flaws and appreciated its craftsmanship. When asked about his opinions on the AutoFest, he said, "Sobrang maayos, like ang daming mahilig ng cars here in Beda and wants to showcase their cars.”
On the other hand, Rosver Satira Jr. (III-BAP) shared his experience with his 2012 Lancer EX, which featured bucket seats and subwoofers. Satira narrated his favorite memory with the car involved cruising along SLEX during New Year’s, benefiting from free tolls.
The SBCA AutoFest, hosted by BES, proved to be more than just an event; it became a vibrant celebration of automotive passion, community spirit, and shared experiences. Whether attendees were students, car owners, or simply curious onlookers, the beauty of cars was showcased, fellow enthusiasts connected, and the day was filled with adrenaline and camaraderie, leaving lasting impressions on everyone present.
