Outstanding interns honored at Lion’s Pride Accolade

By Yuri Andrei Morrison | June 15, 2025

THE Student Internship Program (SIP) concludes this academic year with the Lion’s Pride Accolade, celebrating exemplary student interns and recognizing partner institutions. The event, organized by the current SIP Coordinator, Prof. Adrianna Quioyo, aims to appreciate the interns who embodied the “Ideal Bedan” core values. The event also acknowledged the support of Host Training Establishments (HTEs) through their mentorship.

Atty. Juan Rufo D. Chong, Dean of the School of Business, Accountancy, and Management, welcomed the students with a message of anticipation and preparation for graduation, reminding them that the moment they receive their diploma is the moment they become unemployed.

The highlight of the event was the awarding of Best Interns and Special Citation recipients from various academic programs, carefully selected based on a set of criteria that includes attendance, compliance with academic and company requirements, internship grades, employability, and demonstration of core Bedan values such as obedience, discipline, and humility.

The best intern in the BS Psychology program, Jan Margaret Carandang (IV-BAP), shared that she was honored to receive the award and felt grateful for the mentorship provided by her host establishment. For her, the core values were her guidance when she worked and made decisions, thinking beyond just fulfilling requirements. “The internship program made an influence on my career in a way that it exposed me to the real world.
