With the celebration of National Press Freedom Day, student publications remain subjected to oppression, censorship, budget cuts, intimidation, and harassment and face an asymmetrical war to preserve campus press freedom. With an outdated law in place, student journalists continue to urge the government to ratify a new law that guarantees campus press freedom and holds accountable those who infringe on these rights.
