Why stan BINI!

By Crestmond Bantilan  | May 22, 2024

P-POP WAVE is rising, and BINI is at its crest, capturing hearts and dominating the spotlight. An eight-member girl group managed by ABS-CBN’s Star Magic consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena that has been steadily marking the charts with their infectious energy, captivating performances, and genuine connection with their fans.

Since their inception in November 2020, after rigorous training under the Korean Training System led by MU Doctor and the Pinoy Training System guided by Direk Lauren Dyogi and the Star Hunt Academy Staff, BINI embarked on their Karera to success.

BINI is giving Green Flag

Each member brings their unique flair to the group. But most notable is their Lagi-lagi-ng fan engagements and kakulitan. From an Idol that sharpens a pencil from the crowd, one that gives a fan pamasahe from their own pocket, covers a Denise Julia song candidly, and jokingly claps back at their fans who slander their Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) eviction due to overeating bread. The list of reasons to stan is endless with these girls, which is evident from their growing fanbase. In an article by the Inquirer, BINI detailed their genuine and grounded relationship with Blooms, and their fanbase, breaking the typical celebrity-fan dynamic for a connection that, in their words, “...as friends and family.”

Strike While the Pantropiko is Hot

With a keen sense of timing, BINI seized opportunities to solidify its presence in the industry. Their infectious hits became sleeper songs, igniting dance crazes and captivating fanboys with their mesmerizing visuals. If you're looking for receipts, four million monthly Spotify listeners, 1.5 million TikTok followers, 192.7 thousand Twitter followers, and 624 thousand YouTube subscribers boasting millions of views are more than enough proof. Just from their recent releases: Salamin Salamin, Pantropiko, and Karera, their steady but secure climb to the top undeniably solidifies their title as Nation’s Girl Group.

BINI Worldwide:

As their popularity crossed international borders, BINI's reach expanded exponentially. Being the inaugural Rising Star Awardee at the Billboard Women in Music, having the K-pop group Unis do a cover of their song Pantropiko, and even appearing as Idol Mentors in Show it All China further proves the impact BINI makes beyond Pantropiko soil. From here, who knows just how far further they can go, and be sure to “wag mag alala, buhay ay di karera.”

In 2024, P-Pop girl group BINI continues to solidify its title as the “Nation’s Girl Group '' with the overwhelming demand for its first solo concert, BINIverse on June 28, 29, and 30. Tickets for the initial and additional concert dates sold out within two hours after fans clamored for more dates and a larger venue. BINI members reassured fans who couldn’t snag tickets that there would be more opportunities to see them.

Why BINI?

More than just a viral hit or a passing craze, BINI signifies the fulfillment of a long-standing void in the Filipino music scene. As the nation became increasingly enamored with K-pop, there arose a hunger for a homegrown rendition of that same energy and artistry. BINI emerged as the answer to that longing, slowly and steadily filling the void with their impressive skills and infectious personalities.

Yet, what truly sets BINI apart extends beyond their technical prowess. It's the genuine connection they forge with their audience, allowing the public a glimpse into their hearts and souls. It's in these moments of vulnerability, shared triumphs, and unwavering dedication to their craft that BINI becomes more than just a musical group – they become beacons of Filipino artistry.

So, as the nation rallies behind BINI, drawn to their music and captivated by their spirit, one can't help but ask: Are you a Bloom now?
