IGNITING the talent, passion, and sportsmanship of the Red Lions, the week-long Sports Intramural 2025 for the Tertiary Schools officially started last Apr. 28 at the Sports Complex, consisting of basketball and volleyball games.

Dr. Rosario Mielmia Aquino, Dean of the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education (SASE), mentioned in her message that this intramural is more than a competition—it is an opportunity to celebrate camaraderie. Considering that final exam season is just around the corner, students may consider this activity a break from all their academic endeavors. She ended her message with a reminder of what Bedans are truly made for: “undaunted in the face of challenges.”

The Tertiary Schools Intramural 2025 Chair, Doc John Paul Domingo, SASE Vice Dean and Department Chair of the Physical Education Department, said, “We will support the mission of the institution of holistic development.” He highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping students as well-rounded individuals and growing beyond the classroom.

The torch was ignited to officially declare the beginning of the week-long event, led by Atty. Juan Ruffo Chong, Dean of the School of Business, Accountancy, and Management, together with the team captains from Volleyball—Emmanuel Dacut (I-BAIS) and Aleah Cunanan (I-BAIS)—and Men’s Basketball—Marck Aquino (II-BSBA MM).

From Apr. 28 to May 2, the ball games will take place at the Sports Complex 1 & 2 and the Covered Court. The awarding and closing ceremonies are scheduled for May 2, together with the championship of ball games and the exhibition game of guests and SBCA employees.
