LAST Friday, Oct. 13, the Tertiary Schools of San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) observed the Month of the Holy Rosary. In celebration, the administrators, employees, and college students came together for a Living Rosary and Holy Mass, headed by the Bedan Liturgical Ministries (BLM), with the Religious Education Department and Center for Campus Ministry.

Students participated in the event wearing different color-coded shirts representing their departments: green for the Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX), red for the Junior Bedan Marketing Association (JBMA), blue for Communications and Media Studies (CMS), white for the Bedan International Studies Association (BISA), and purple for the Junior Bedan Law Circle (JBLC). While the rosary was ongoing, members from Teatro Bedista were reenacting the Sorrowful mysteries of the rosary. After the Community Rosary, a Marian Procession was held from the SBCA Court to the St. Benedict Chapel where the Eucharistic Mass was held.

The mass was dedicated to the teachers, professors, and staff of SBCA in line with the celebration of World Teacher’s Day. In his homily, Fr. Molina emphasized how Jesus came to free us from the greatest danger — the corrupting force of evil that always works against the truth. Despite this, he reminded everyone that salvation and hope prevails. Before concluding the mass celebration, Fr. Molina requested all the teachers present to come forward to receive the blessings.

As the month of October recognizes the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, BLM, the Religious Education Department, and the Center for Campus Ministry, prepared month-long activities in which the Bedan community is encouraged to participate. The celebration will end on Oct. 27 with the Closing of Dalaw Montserrat.
