IN a fierce match, the San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) Men’s Basketball team fell short with a score of 78-82. and was defeated by TRACE College during the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) South Season 25 held at FAITH College Batangas last April 28.
At the end of the first quarter, the Red Lions were outscored by TRACE by four points with a score of 12-16. After the first quarter, they became more determined to beat the opponent but failed to catch up, as the team scored 32-38 in the second quarter, 50-57 during the third, and towards the fourth with 78-82. It was a nerve-wracking match as both teams tried to score the most.
Despite the Red Lions trying to clutch the game from the first quarter until the end, they failed to surpass the score against the opponent. The Red Lions remained in high spirits as they supported their teammates despite their struggles throughout the game.
In an interview with THE BEDAN HERALD, the team captain, Luis Gabriel Santos (IV-BSBA-MM), stated, “Sa ensayo babawi kami, at mas magiging composed, yun lang (During practice we will recover and be more composed, that's all),” in response to how they will bounce back from defeat and what comes next after the game.
Catch up on their next match against the FAITH College Men’s Basketball team today, May 1, Wednesday, at FAITH College Batangas.
