WITH a final score of 4-1, the SBCA Men’s Futsal Team fell short against Enderun Colleges in their match on March 1 at the University of Asia & the Pacific (UA&P), as part of the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Athletics Association (MNCAA) season.
Both teams started strong, battling for early control of the match. Enderun's offense ultimately broke through allowing them to take an early lead in the game. SBCA could not handle the Titans' relentless charges, garnering three more goals before halftime, making it 4:0.
Midway through the first part, SBCA and Enderun Colleges huddled to discuss their game plan again. SBCA’s tenacity and grit showed when Ernest Jhon Masinsin (III-BSEd) effortlessly scored a goal, making the score 4:1.
Both teams changed their tactics as the second half got underway, strengthening their defense. Despite multiple attempts, neither team was able to score, and the final score stood at 4-1 in favor of Enderun Titans.
In an interview with THE BEDAN HERALD, Ernest Jhon Masinsin (III-BSEd) was asked about his thoughts regarding their first game of the season “Okay naman ‘yung game. Nabigla talaga kami nung una May mga unexpected kasi na instances, kumbaga hindi namin ine-expect na yung play nila ganoon.” he stated.
Masinsin also conveyed how they lacked preparation during the first half. Fortunately, they were able to strengthen their defense, preventing the latter team from scoring another goal. As a reflection of their match against the Enderun Titans Masinsin shared, “Feeling ko next game talaga dapat paghandaan ‘yung mga unexpected instances.”, showcasing the team’s determination to score a win in their upcoming games.
After their tough loss, the SBCA Men’s Futsal Team is determined to roar loader and come back stronger in the next game against Philippine Women's University on March 15 at the University of Asia and Pacific Multipurpose Court.
