THE Batch 2023 takers achieved an outstanding feat during the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). Graduates who took the examination from the College successfully passed, garnering a 100% passing rate as the results were announced last May 19.
THE BEDAN HERALD reached out to Batch 2023’s successful LET takers to ask about their hardships, experiences, and what knowledge they would like to impart to future educators.
Angelica P. Vibora, LPT, advised and recalled different study methods she used while preparing for the licensure exam. Tr. Vibora stated that time management was one of her most significant weak points, and even though she was exhausted from her teaching work during the day, she persevered to continue studying and attending her online review classes at night. She advised that one should know [their] learning style. “Gather all reliable review sources. Purchase some books that will help you gain knowledge, continue to keep reading, and practice answering sample questions. And if you’re tired, rest but don’t quit.”
Whereas Rocky S. Ladignon, LPT, began by admitting that she didn’t expect to take the LET. She has already started working, and her colleagues would advise that it would be easy since she already has the experience. “Mondays through Fridays, I had to go to work. On Saturdays and Sundays, I had to go to the review center in the mornings and prepare my lessons for the upcoming week at night.” Tr. Rocky’s words of encouragement were to, “attain those goals and become the person you always envisioned. They must realize early on that nothing worth having comes without sacrifice; they must never compare themselves to others. Focus on the goal, not on other people. Go at your own pace and at your own time. Most importantly, Ora et Labora.”
