THE San Beda College Alabang (SBCA) Futsal Seniors achieved victory against the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) in the Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) Season 53 of Futsal League Seniors Division last Apr. 1. 

In what was the division’s Battle for Third, the Bedan athletes showed exemplary performance by winning back-to-back points. The game livestreamed by the UA&P Center for Student Affairs’ Facebook page showed the UA&P players skilfully defending against SBCA, finishing off the first set with a 0-0 tie. However, Ivy Tapiz (I-BECE) managed to score the team its first point before the livestream was interrupted due to technical difficulties. Sophia Margarse (IV-BSLM), team captain of the SBCA Senior Women’s Football Team, followed with another goal, leading SBCA to victory with a final score of 2-0 in the match’s final set. 

With this win, the SBCA Futsal Seniors officially ended the season with an impressive run. The Bedan players were able to take home bronze as they won 3rd place in the WNCAA Season 53 Futsal League competition.
