WITH the spirit of Christmas in full swing, the Student Executive Council (SEC), in collaboration with the Council of Student Leaders (CSL), spearheaded the Merry Makers Donation Drive last Dec. 11 at the Multipurpose Hall, spreading holiday cheer by giving back to SBCA's dedicated non-teaching personnel.

Having spent more than a month preparing for the event, collaborating between the SEC and the CSL has been a journey of planning and teamwork, according to Nina Biscocho (III-BSE), SEC External Vice President. She viewed the Donation Drive as a labor of love to ensure they could give something meaningful.

The event distributed Noche Buena packs filled with spaghetti, canned fruit cocktails, and other goodies, made possible by a total of ₱91,919 in donations, comprising ₱54,500 from external donors and ₱37,419 from CSL donations.

SEC, joined by officers from the Bedan Psychological Society, distributed the goodies, and Prof. Roma Wynn Sedo, Dean of Student Activities, oversaw the event.

Atassia Soliveres (IV-BAIS), SEC President, said that even though the project is a small act of kindness for the non-teaching personnel and the security guards, their overall realization upon seeing the happy faces of the people has made their hearts full. "The most important goal is to give back to the non-teaching personnel, even with just a small event this Christmas for their Noche Buena and their families," she said.

The Merry Makers Donation Drive was a great success, highlighting the significance of giving. The unity of SEC and CSL brought Christmas cheer to the non-teaching staff of SBCA, demonstrating that small acts of kindness can lead to merry impact.
