TEARS flowed as Jenine Lacorte, an alumna of SBCA, expressed her gratitude during "Isang Eyyy Para Kay Jay," a fundraising gig by the SBCA Communication and Media Studies (CMS) batch 2015, on Aug. 17 at Gighouse, Poblacion Muntinlupa.
In a previous interview with THE BEDAN HERALD, Jenine shared that last June 27, her biopsy results confirmed a diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Due to ongoing health treatments, her medical insurance had already been exhausted, making her cancer journey even more challenging. However, the unwavering support from her loved ones, including her batchmates, who organized this fundraising gig, has provided her with much-needed strength and help for her medical treatments.
The event was hosted by Jhazell Choy-Nazario, also part of batch 2015, and featured four bands: Beyond Unusual, Panic Car, Sunken Roots, and Autotelic.
GigHouse Muntinlupa, RibSarap, Rox Tattoos, and the SBCA Alumni Association sponsored the event, while Beda.Comm, the co-curricular organization of the CMS department, and THE BEDAN HERALD were media partners.
For those wishing to extend their support for Jenine’s medical treatments, you may reach out to her husband, Ian Lacorte, for more details.
