EXPLORING new and unique coffee shops must be one of the most well-known activities students do during their free time — whether for trying caffeinated and non-caffeinated beverages, filling up Instagram feeds with aesthetic photos, or simply just finding a quiet place to study.

Searching for new places to chill and hang out? Right outside the premises of San Beda College Alabang (SBCA), there are available coffee shops students can visit after school or grab a coffee.

        Caffeine On-the-Go

But First, Coffee is probably the most accessible coffee shop near SBCA since it is situated in Avida Towers, Alabang. Unlike others, it is a small coffee shop, but it has enough tables and chairs for people to either chill or work and take photos of the gram. They offer a variety of beverages—from drip-based to espresso-based and milk-based — that range from P55 up to P460, depending on their size. Some of their best-sellers are Spanish Latte, Iced Milky Choco, and Salted Caramel Latte.

Deuces, located in Paz Madrigal Plaza, Alabang, also has a wide selection of hot and iced beverages and pastries, from P110 to P250. With their well-lit area perfect for studying and taking pictures, Deuces also has friendly employees who will accompany those who need help knowing what drink to try and order. Considering the taste and quality of BFC and Deuces’ coffees, their prices are affordable, especially since many students visit these places. There is nothing to worry about because these coffee shops are within walking distance from Alabang Hills Village (AHV), making them more convenient.

        More than Just a Brew

Co-owned by Global Media Artist’s (GMA) actor David Licauco, Sobra Cafe is one of the most frequently visited coffee shops in Molito Lifestyle Center, Alabang. Because the place has two floors, students can occupy plenty of space, even during peak hours. Aside from its Instagram-worthy interior from every angle, Sobra Cafe serves various food and drinks, including rice meals, pasta, and caffeinated beverages priced between P120 and P480. Though it is not as affordable as the other coffee shops, the serving amount for each meal can be shared.

Also located in Molito Lifestyle Center, Brunch Bureau serves appetizing comfort food and premium coffees. It is also a well-lit two-story place with a chill and quiet ambiance perfect for studying alone or doing research work with groupmates. There are also available outlets that can be used during the stay, making it more convenient. Non-caffeine drinkers can still enjoy the place because Bruch Bureau also offers hot teas, kombucha, and fruit juice from P150 to P240, similar to the prices of their classic coffees. Filling up one’s empty stomach is not a problem because they also serve various dishes such as Beef Tapa Bowl, French Toast, Ebi Katsu Balls, and even different kinds of soups and salads.

TikTok is a social media platform students use to search for newly opened coffee shops to visit nearby. Concordia’s Cafe is one of those that became viral thanks to its trendy and aesthetic design. The cafe is commute-friendly even though it is situated in BF Homes, Parañaque because students can grab a tricycle from Tirona or Village Square and drop it off right in front of the place. The cafe showcases an ample space and cozy interior, its array of mouthwatering food and drinks selections priced between P110 and P550, and its photo booth. They cater to students who want to separate work and life because of the ambiance that would motivate them to study. Not only that, but the cafe can also be an area for those who wish to create more memories with their friends.

Studying and working on unfinished tasks in a coffee shop can be more productive than staying home. The coffee shops near SBCA undoubtedly have much more to offer than just a cup of coffee — where comfort meets productivity. Would you visit and give them a try?
