Mayor Biazon Sentenced for Graft; Seeks Reconsideration
RUFFY Biazon, Muntinlupa Mayor, was found guilty of graft by the Sandiganbayan’s Special Seventh Division, the anti-graft court of the Philippines, upon violation of Section 3(e) of Republic Act No. 3019, or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. He was sentenced to six to eight years in jail with perpetual disqualification from public office.

Vacant SEC Positions Open the First-Ever Snap Elections
ONLY three positions were filled in this year’s Student Executive Council (SEC) general elections. As announced on the Bedan Electoral Committee (BELCOM)’s Facebook page last Apr. 26, the positions are the President, External Vice President (EVP), and second-year level representative, while eight seats remain vacant. From 529 total Bedan voters during the last special elections, the population decreased to 386 voters.
