MARKING the official transition to its new slate of officers for the academic year, the SBCA chapter of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) held its general assembly at the Rosendo Herrera Hall yesterday, Aug. 28.

THE Junior Bedan Engineering Society (JBES) gathered at the Rosendo Herrera Hall last Aug. 20 for its annual General Assembly, welcoming students, faculty, and newly inducted officers with a program filled with inspiration, plans, and camaraderie.

THE BEDAN HERALD held its annual general assembly last Aug. 15 at the Fr. Baltazar Cruz Hall, St. Bede Building. With the goal to amplify voices in this academic year, TBH staffers gathered to introduce goals, systems, and processes that would guide the publication.

THE Bedan Electoral Committee (BELCOM) held the first-ever joint elections of the Student Executive Council (SEC), Bedan Psychological Society (BPS), Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA), and the Junior Bedan Law Circle (JBLC).

WITH the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte ruled out as unconstitutional in a unanimous vote by the Supreme Court (SC) last July 25, the proceedings of the case have come to a staggering halt. This decision, however, neither validated nor dismissed any allegations that formed the basis of the impeachment complaint in the first place.

IN pursuit of making voter registration more accessible for students, faculty, and staff, the Bedan Entrepreneurs Society (BES), in cooperation with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), brought the Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP) directly to SBCA last Aug. 5.

LAST July 30, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) launched the “OSA Playbook Series,” a seminar to raise awareness on the forms and impacts of violence and to promote a culture of respect and empathy, empowering Bedans to take a stand against violence. The event was attended by upperclassmen and held at the Tugade Auditorium.

THE Student Internship Office, under the leadership of Prof. Maria Adrianna H. Quiyo, Student Internship Program (SIP) Coordinator, held its internship orientation last July 29 at the St. Maur Auditorium.

THE Tertiary Schools’ first week of back-to-school classes began with welcoming orientations as a reception for both incoming freshmen and returning upperclassmen, held at the Multi-Purpose Hall last July 28 and at the St. Maur Auditorium last July 29, respectively. These orientations served as a primer for the newcomers and a refresher for the returning students, answering any queries or concerns of the student body.
