AFTER five years, THE BEDAN HERALD makes a comeback in competitive journalism at the recently concluded 15th National Campus Media Conference (NCMC). The competition was held at the Angels Hills Tagaytay Retreat and Formation Center in Tagaytay City, Cavite, from Sept. 18 to 20.

With tarpaulins, posters, flowers, balloons, and smiles, the entrance of Alabang Hills was flooded by supporters, friends, and families wishing and praying for the bar takers to acquire the “Atty.” title finally. 10,490 aspiring lawyers concluded their #MostValuableLaban last Sept. 15, finishing their examinations on Criminal Law, Remedial Law, and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises.

The Bedan Electoral Committee (BELCOM) officially announced the Student Executive Council (SEC) for the academic year 2024-2025 on Sept. 9. Among the newly elected officers is Ma. Atassia V. Soliveres (IV-BAIS), who, after being elected Internal Vice President last year, chose to resign to pursue the presidency.

NAVIGATING the challenges in the digital age and addressing the increasing prevalence of false information, deep fakes, and media manipulation, THE BEDAN HERALD held a media and information literacy webinar, “Digital Disrupt,” via Google Meet last Sept. 13. Nathan Manaog (IV-BACMS), chief cartoonist, and Maristella Magdangal (II-BSP), website manager of TBH, spearheaded the event.

WITH Integration 2024, the Tertiary Schools pay tribute and honor the National Heroes of the Philippines with the theme, “Pagyamanin ang Pamana: Ang Pinaglaban mo, Itutuloy ko!” The freshmen were welcomed with blasting cheers last Aug. 30 at Fr. Bellarmine Baltasar Gymnasium.
