THE SBCA community continued to celebrate the Pista ng Sto. Niño on its second day, with students, teachers, and families filling the campus for a lineup of activities.
The celebration opened with a field demonstration from the Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED), showcasing artistry and tradition through dance representing fiestas around the Philippines.
Grade 5 students, dressed in colorful baro’t saya and katipunero sets, presented the Yugyugan festival of Quezon Province. This was followed by the Grade 4 in blue performing the good harvest of the Kamayadan festival. Then the third grade amazed the audience as they danced the Magsayaw festival. The field demonstration concluded with a presentation from the scouts, exhibiting a mix of humor and seriousness in their performance.
In Manny Reyes Hall, the Bedan Got Talent continues with ten participants from Grade 2 and nine participants from Grade 1. Instead of creating competition, the institution nurtured confidence among peers, as the event was a means to showcase their array of talents.
At the Our Lady of Montserrat Building, the fourth annual PananamPalaro e-sports Valorant tournament gathered eight teams vying for cash prizes of P 3,000 for the champion, P 2,000 for the first runner-up, and P 1,000 for the second runner-up.
In the afternoon, chants and applause with a hint of retro filled the air as the Batch Cheer Competition commenced at the Fr. Baltazar Gymnasium. The Junior High School students did lifts, tumblings, and stunts to bring home the championship title for their batch. The seventh grade performed with the theme “Siete Retro Republika,” the eighth grade with “Retron8tion,” the ninth grade with “Juniorkada,” and the tenth grade with “Disko Dekada.”
As the night deepens, the festivities continue with the Mr. and Ms. San Beda 2026 Coronation Night, World Class Gandang Bedista held at the SBCA Football Field. The Tertiary Schools crown Alyssa Lusande (IV-BACMS) as Ms. San Beda 2026 and Angelo Narvasa (IV-BSBA-HRM) as Mr. San Beda 2026.
