AFTER five long years, Media & Beyond, the annual communication conference organized by Beda.Comm, the official co-curricular organization of the Communication and Media Studies Department makes its comeback. With the theme, “The Future Speak: Information Literacy and Innovation in Modern Media Narratives,” this year’s conference aims to educate students on emerging trends in communication particularly in the fields of advertising, marketing, public relations, journalism, broadcasting, and media production.
Besides engaging talks from various industry professionals, Media & Beyond is also inviting students to submit their projects that explore information literacy with the use of narrative innovation in today’s modern media. In a Facebook post, last Apr. 1, it officially launched its project call: “Showcase your work in an audience that may spark potential collaboration and connection with fellow students, academics, and industry professionals.” The deadline for the submission of projects is on Apr. 20.
Just like in previous Media & Beyond Conferences, there will be a registration fee. Those who will be registering from Mar. 24 - Apr. 7, can avail of the early bird promo P350.00 for Senior High School Students, P500.00 for Tertiary Students, P600.00 for outsiders, and P700.00 for faculty members. The full list of the rates can be viewed on their official Facebook Page, Media & Beyond.
