Batch 2024 Holds Baccalaureate Mass to Celebrate their Academic Completion

By Angela Marie De Leon | July 19, 2024

AS the Commencement Exercises of Batch 2024 of the San Beda College Alabang (SBCA)- Tertiary Schools approaches, a Baccalaureate Mass was held today at St. Benedict Chapel to recognize God's guidance in the graduates' academic journey.

The mass celebrated the students' academic accomplishments, and along with that is to signify their spiritual growth and gratitude. It also stands as a reminder of their responsibility to serve God sincerely.

In his homily, Fr. Gerardo Ma. De Villa, OSB, SBCA Rector President, highlighted God's merciful and forgiving act towards those who call upon Him for help. "Dear graduating students, may the Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you," said Fr. De Villa.

With graduation day fast approaching, different feelings arose from the students. Krisha Joy Panganiban (IV-BAP) said “dun mo marerealize na lahat ng pinaghirapan mo… talagang eto na, paid off na.” She shared how their graduation felt unreal, pointing out how their hard work finally paid off.

On the other hand, Michaela Zaballero (IV-BAP), said that there's even a lot more pressure after graduation than being in college. "After graduation, it's about your future na," said Zaballero.

The annual Dean’s Assembly followed after the mass to award the graduating students for their academic achievements for the past school year.
