MARKING the start of the 2023 Bar Examinations, bar takers from various schools of law gathered at San Beda College Alabang (SBCA), one of the local testing centers, and this year’s national headquarters on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The day for the aspiring lawyers began before the crack of dawn at the grounds of Alabang Hills Village with bar takers hailing from Philippine Christian University (PCU) , Universidad de Manila (UDM), and University of Batangas (UB). Family, loved ones, and respective supporters of the aforementioned law schools were also present at the site to send off the examinees.
According to the Supreme Court, this year’s bar examinations has 10,404 examinees present; 722 bar takers took their exams at SBCA. Subjects included in the examination are as follows: political and public international law, commercial and taxation laws, civil law, labor law and social legislation, criminal law, and remedial law, legal and judicial ethics with practical exercises. The next set of examinations of the three-day event will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 20, and will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 24.
